Amit Roy

Amit Roy is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and development within the semiconductor industry, currently serving as Senior Director of R&D at Synopsys Inc since February 2010. Amit Roy has held multiple leadership positions at Synopsys, managing HAPS Prototyping product support and overseeing R&D activities for Synplify mapper, with a focus on OEM customers like Lattice and Achronix. Prior to joining Synopsys, Amit Roy worked at Interra Systems for over nine years and served as a Manager. Early career experiences include roles as a Scientific Officer at CDAC, specializing in hardware system design, and as a Hardware Engineer at Wipro Technologies, contributing to ASIC design and testing. Amit Roy holds a BE in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Jadavpur University.
