Amit Sharma

Amit Sharma is an Executive Director of Solutions Engineering at Synopsys Inc, a position held since September 2015, and previously served as Group Director of Applications Engineering. With extensive expertise in ASIC functional verification, emulation, verification methodologies, and EDA software, Amit has been instrumental in deploying advanced verification solutions to semiconductor and system companies globally. Prior to this, Amit was Director of Applications Engineering, leading cross-functional teams across APAC and collaborating with business development and sales to achieve significant growth in Design Verification tools. Amit's career at Synopsys began in July 2001, encompassing various management and engineering roles that focused on product strategy, verification methodology, and customer consulting services. Amit holds an Executive MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
