Athanasios Karafyllas

Athanasios (Sakis) Karafyllas is a Senior Field Application Engineer at Synopsys, Inc., bringing extensive experience in the semiconductor industry with a focus on simulation software development and support. Previously, they held positions at Fieldscale and Ansys, where they specialized in electromagnetic simulation and model extraction of integrated circuits and passive devices. Athanasios served in the Greek Army as an Information Technology Specialist and gained foundational engineering skills working as an assistant in their family's business. They earned a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
