Bob Householder

Bob Householder is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in optical and multiphysics simulation, particularly in the federal, aerospace, and defense sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Product Sales Executive at Synopsys Inc since July 2025, Bob has previously held significant positions such as Principal at Five Talent Consulting, Inc. since January 2003, focusing on LED illumination and optical product development. Bob was also a Senior Product Sales Manager at Ansys from October 2021 to August 2025, where efforts included enhancing the optical portfolio through the addition of Zemax. Earlier career roles include Strategic Account Manager at Zemax, LLC (an Ansys company), and VP of Business and Technical Development at Access Optics. Bob holds a Master's degree in Electro-Optics from Tufts University and a Bachelor's degree in Imaging Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
