Charles Chiang

Dr. Charles Chiang is a retired Vice President of Engineering at Synopsys Inc, where they led significant projects in silicon engineering and mask solutions from 2001 until their retirement in December 2023. They began their career as a Member of Technical Staff at IBM and have since worked at notable companies including Cadence Design Systems, Xilinx, and Monterey Design Systems. Dr. Chiang holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Business Administration from Tunghai University. Throughout their career, Dr. Chiang contributed to advancements in ASIC design and critical research in design automation.
