Ethan Thompson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in application engineering and team leadership. Currently serving as Team Lead in Application Engineering at Synopsys Inc since July 2025, Ethan previously held the same position at Ansys from December 2018 to July 2025, where Ethan also worked as Lead Application Engineer, Senior Application Engineer, and Application Engineer II. Prior to Ansys, Ethan worked as a Product Engineer at Parker Lord from May 2013 to November 2018, focusing on the development of vibration isolation solutions and providing technical support for customers. Ethan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Penn State University, earned in 2013.
