Fred Black

Fred Black has over 30 years of experience in engineering, specializing in project management and design methodologies for semiconductor intellectual property development. Starting as a Senior I.C. Design Engineer at Bell-Northern Research and advancing through various roles, Fred has held positions such as Manager of Memory Development at Nortel and IC CAD Technology Specialist at Mosaid Technologies. Since 2007, Fred has been serving as a Senior Staff Engineer in Project Engineering Management at Synopsys Inc, where responsibilities include cross-functional project management of DDR interface IP development and coordinating global team activities. Fred holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Carleton University.
