Gary Waggoner

Gary Waggoner is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as a Senior Staff R&D Engineer at Synopsys since September 2010, Gary previously held a similar position at Virage Logic prior to its acquisition. In the role at Virage Logic, Gary focused on software development to automate logic product workflows, particularly in characterization. Prior experience includes managing the Design for Test group at ARM, where Gary's team developed solutions for embedded memory technology, and serving as Engineering Manager at Artisan Components, contributing to standard cell and memory development. Gary began a career in engineering at Westinghouse and worked as an ASIC Design Engineer at Atmel, developing gate array libraries. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
