Janet Lee

Janet Lee serves as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Synopsys Inc since July 2025, following a successful tenure as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at ANSYS, Inc. from June 2017 to July 2025. Janet brings extensive legal expertise from roles including Vice President of Legal and IP at HERE, where responsibilities included managing comprehensive legal operations post-spin-off from Nokia, and Director of Legal and Intellectual Property at Nokia Corporation. Additional significant experience includes positions at AOL, Cooley Godward, Renaissance Capital Group, Clifford Chance, and Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, focusing on corporate law, international trade, and investment. Janet holds a JD from Stanford Law School, an MA in Russian Studies from Harvard University, and a BA in Economics and Russian Studies from the University of Michigan.
