Michael Chua is a seasoned Sr. Systems Administrator with over two decades of experience in the field. Currently at Synopsys, Inc since June 2002, Michael specializes in setting up and installing high-performance Linux clusters, evaluating new server hardware technologies, testing Linux OS updates, and supporting company tradeshows. Prior to Synopsys, Michael worked as a Sr. Systems Administrator at Avant! from November 2000 to June 2002 and as a Systems Administrator focusing on AIX at Medic Computer Systems from April 1994 to June 2000, where responsibilities included maintaining R&D servers. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, obtained between 1986 and 1990, and graduated from Enloe High School in 1986.
