Nelson Arqueiro

Nelson Arqueiro is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in digital design and hardware development, currently serving as a Sr. Staff Engineer in ASIC Digital Design at Synopsys Inc since February 2025. Prior to this, Nelson held various positions including Senior FPGA Hardware Engineer at Altice Labs, where responsibilities included system digital design implementation for telecommunications using FPGA technology. Earlier experience includes roles at Siemens and an advanced microelectronics engineering course, further enhancing expertise in synthesis and verification with FPGA software, and in designing complex digital systems. Nelson holds a degree in Electronic and Telecommunications from Universidade de Aveiro, attained between 1995 and 2002.
