Rodolfo Gomes

Rodolfo Gomes, PhD, was born in Leiria, Portugal, in 1991. They received a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, and telecommunications from the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria in 2012 and later earned a Ph.D. from the University of South Wales in 2019 for research on a real-time 5G testbed at millimeter waves. Rodolfo has held various academic positions, including Lecturer at the University of South Wales and Invited Assistant Lecturer at the Polytechnic of Leiria, and has worked as a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações. Currently, they are a Senior R&D Engineer at Synopsys, focusing on prototyping Gen6 PCIe FPGA-based products and have recently taken on the role of Project Engineering Manager.
