Sameir Deif

Sameir Deif, Ph.D., P.Eng., currently serves as an Engineering Manager at Synopsys, specializing in electromagnetic simulation, signal integrity, and RF/microwave systems. With a Ph.D. in Electromagnetics from the University of Alberta, Sameir developed a patented chipless RFID system and has published multiple IEEE papers. They have extensive experience in both academia and industry, having held positions as a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Research Laboratory Manager at the University of Alberta, as well as roles at Ansys, where they focus on verification and validation of simulation tools. Sameir is passionate about making complex technical concepts accessible and fostering collaboration between academic and industrial sectors.
