Sampath Amarasinghe

Sampath Amarasinghe is an accomplished R&D engineer with over a decade of experience in the semiconductor industry. Currently serving as an R&D Manager at Synopsys Inc since August 2015, Sampath leads the VG VC Static team, overseeing technical leadership and team responsibilities. Prior to this role, Sampath held various positions including Lead R&D Engineer and Senior R&D Engineer, contributing to the SpyGlass software and leading the internal technical committee at Synopsys Lanka following the acquisition of Atrenta, where Sampath worked as a Senior Software Engineer. Furthermore, initial experience includes roles as an Engineer-Technology and Trainee Software Engineer at Virtusa, along with a solid educational background comprising a Master of Computer Science from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Peradeniya.
