Sandeep Kumar

Sandeep Kumar is an accomplished executive in the semiconductor industry with extensive experience in research and development, software engineering, and innovative solution delivery. Currently serving as Executive Director of R&D Engineering at Synopsys Inc since October 2022, Sandeep leads teams focused on enhancing Fusion Compiler's capabilities in areas such as Presto-Elaboration and Power Analysis, significantly improving Power, Performance, and Area (PPA) for top-tier semiconductor companies. Prior to this role, Sandeep was with Cadence Design Systems for over two decades, where responsibilities included directing cross-geographic teams in Partition Based Synthesis and High-Level Optimizations. Earlier in Sandeep's career, as a founding engineer at Quark, contributions were made to the development of QuarkWrapture, a novel packaging design solution. Sandeep holds a B.E. in Computer Science from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology.
