Soumitra Pal

Soumitra Pal, PhD, is currently a Staff Engineer in R&D Engineering at Synopsys Inc., where they research SRAM compiler design for advanced technologies such as Samsung 8-nm, Intel 18-nm, and TSMC 3-nm processes. They completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles, focusing on novel memory and compute-in-memory circuit design. Previously, Soumitra has worked as a post-doctoral fellow at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and served as an Assistant Professor at C.V. Raman College of Engineering. They hold a PhD in Electronic and Computer Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a Master of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
