Zhiru Yu is an R&D Manager at Synopsys, leading the advanced modeling team responsible for developing software tools for lithography simulation using both first-principles algorithms and machine learning techniques. Previously, Zhiru held roles at TSMC as Principal and Senior Engineer, focusing on electromagnetic simulation tool development and mask calibration. Zhiru also gained valuable experience as an antenna designer student at Research In Motion and as an intern at Schlumberger-Doll Research Center and KLA-Tencor, where they contributed to various research projects in electromagnetic applications. Zhiru earned a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Duke University, following an M.S. in Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology from the University of Electronic Science and Technology.
