Sal Carvo

Sal Carvo currently serves as Managing Director at Synovus since April 2019. Prior to this role, Sal worked as an Independent Consultant from March 2017 to March 2019 and held the position of Senior Director - Business Relationship Management at Fitch Ratings, focusing on structured credit and leverage finance from March 2016 to March 2017. Sal's extensive experience also includes a decade at MUFG in the Americas, where responsibilities included client development and transaction underwriting in commercial debt finance and managing investment strategies for the Structured Credit Finance Group. Previously, Sal was Managing Director & Portfolio Manager at Athilon, where a significant portfolio ramp-up was successfully executed. Sal holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from St. John's University.
