Michel Kahan

Michel Kahan serves as the Président of Syntec Ingenierie since June 2023, representing the French professional association of engineering consulting companies. Kahan has been the Group Chairman & CEO of SETEC since December 2013, overseeing business development and maintaining high standards within the engineering consulting firm, which specializes in construction engineering. Previous roles include Executive Vice President and CEO of Setec tpi, focusing on engineering consultancy for major infrastructure projects, and Senior Project Manager at SETEC Industries. Kahan's early career includes significant positions in infrastructure design and engineering, including leading the Department of Transportation and Infrastructures and working as a bridge designer at SETRA. Kahan holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Civil Engineering from Ecole nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, an MSc from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and completed executive programs at INSEAD.
