Michael R Hulley

Michael R Hulley has worked in a variety of roles for a number of companies since 2003. Michael R began their career as a Finance Manager for Beta Coal Corporation, where they set up the accounting function and developed a sales invoicing system. In 2008, they moved to IFES as a Finance Officer, where they implemented a system change from SUN to PSF Financials and developed reports using SSRS. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Management Accountant for Selfnet Holdings Ltd, where they prepared monthly broker commission advices, bordereaux reports, bank and other account reconciliations, and monthly journals in PSF Financials. From 2011 to 2016, they were a BI Developer/ERP Implementations for Cyberworld Solutions, during which they worked for companies in Zimbabwe and Zambia. Michael R then worked as a Developer for Contractor Power BI from 2016 to 2019, where they developed a Power BI implementation to a student accommodation company. Currently, they are a Power BI Developer for Syntegra, where they create income statement, balance sheet and cashflow statements, works with data from MySQL and Postgres, embeds Power BI into applications, and is learning Python.

Michael R Hulley's education history includes attending Umtali Boys High School from 1966 to 1971, where they obtained an AEB A Level in History, English, and Geography. Michael R then attended Hillside Teachers College from 1979 to 1980, where they obtained a Teaching Diploma in Primary Education. Lastly, they attended Rhodes University from 1985 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounts and Commercial Law.
