Paulo Cardona

Paulo Cardona is a Senior Software Applications Engineer at Syntermed. Paulo has over three years of experience as a software developer, participating in projects ranging from creating new modules to building applications from scratch. Paulo is experienced in using 3rd party inversion of control libraries and approaches all new development with a TDD methodology using the NUnit testing framework.

At their previous company, NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Paulo was responsible for creating a utility to process USPS “FastForward” address change files to update existing patient records accurately and efficiently. Paulo also built a WPF application to iterate through customer created RTF templates and convert them into serializable data models. In addition, Paulo built a lightweight C# API to abstract out communication with printers using the proprietary ZPL markup language.

Paulo is heavily involved in the creation of functional and technical specifications for enhancements to applications. Paulo is also part of the team that rewrote the document module for the application’s generated correspondence. Their experience includes building WPF views and user-controls following the MVVM software design pattern and using dynamic data binding. Paulo uses S.O.L.I.D Development principles with an attention to separation of concerns using interfaces and abstract classes as necessary.

Paulo Cardona's educational career includes studying biology and business administration at Georgia State University.
