Rong Yu Pe

Rong Yu, PE, is an experienced Environmental Engineer and Groundwater Modeler at SynTerra Corp. since September 2017, and serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Clemson University since December 2020. With a PhD and Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering from Clemson University and a Bachelor's in Environmental Sciences from Peking University, Rong has conducted extensive research on the biostimulation of chlorinated ethenes in fractured sandstone and the anaerobic biodegradation of halogenated hydrocarbons. Notable achievements include the construction of over 500 crushed rock microcosms to study natural and enhanced attenuation processes, and designing kinetic experiments to analyze biodegradation kinetics in anaerobic cultures.
