Keara Sutherland

Keara Sutherland is an accomplished scientist currently serving as Field Application Scientist II at Synthace since December 2025. Prior experience includes a role as a Scientist at Virica Biotech, where Keara contributed to establishing a CL2 laboratory by developing SOPs, managing project budgets, and standardizing assays. Keara's educational background includes a Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Ottawa, where a thesis focused on oncolytic VSV and led to the receipt of the Ontario Graduate Scholarship and the CIHR Canadian Graduate Scholarship. Earlier academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Life Science from Queen's University, with a specialization in cancer research, and multiple research positions across various institutions, including the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer.
