Anup Kini has been working in the tech industry since 2008. Anup began their career as a Software Developer at Infosys Technologies Ltd, where they developed customised banking menus using HTML, J2EE, C/C++, and SQL. Anup also worked in the maintenance and support team, providing patches for live-customer bugs and was awarded the FINACLE On The Spot Award for their exceptional development skills and on-time performance.
In 2012, they moved to Synapticon GmbH as a System Engineer, where they designed and implemented a Partial Reconfiguration Engine on a custom ZYNQ platform and designed hardware accelerator modules on the FPGA to process USB-driven Kinect Sensor. Anup also enabled user IO access from Linux user-space for hardware modules on the FPGA.
In 2014, Anup Kini joined Morphing Machines as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they were responsible for multi-FPGA implementation of 256 node REDEFINE, using proFPGA and Xilinx Vivado tools and manual IP planning across 6 FPGAs. This work was presented at Hello Tomorrow 2016 in Paris and the 4th RISC-V Conference held at MIT. Anup also prototyped the REDEFINE accelerator on multiple Virtex-7 FPGA boards interconnected to Microblaze as the host processor and DDR3 as shared memory.
In 2018, Anup Kini joined AlphaICs Corporation as a MicroArchitect. Anup worked on design, RTL, module-level verification, power optimization, synthesis, and GLS. Anup was also responsible for all releases from the RTL team and was the point-of-contact for external IPs, DFT, PD, and Packaging team. Anup also worked with a PCB design vendor on the design of bring-up board and post-silicon validation.
