Mohammadali Sharifshazileh has a strong background in analog and mixed-signal IC design. Mohammadali is currently working as an Analog Design Engineer at Synthara AG since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Doctoral Student at the Institute of Neuroinformatics, University of Zurich and ETH Zurich from February 2018 to February 2023. During their time there, they focused on developing analog frontends for recording from the human brain, specifically in the fields of SA-ADCs, low-power/noise neural recording amplifiers, bi-directional data and power telemetry to implantable devices, and biomedical micro-systems. Before that, they worked as a Researcher at the Integrated Circuits and Systems Research Lab (ICAS) from August 2013 to February 2023, and at the Integrated Systems Lab (ISL) from August 2009 to August 2013.
Mohammadali Sharifshazileh has a strong educational background in the field of Engineering and Neuroscience. Mohammadali completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, attending from 2007 to 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology, from 2013 to 2015. To further their knowledge and specialization, they then obtained a Ph.D in Neuroscience from the University of Zurich, completing their studies from 2018 to 2021. This diverse educational journey demonstrates their passion for both engineering and neuroscience, as they seek to merge these fields and contribute to research and technological advancements within the intersection of the two domains.
