Janine Cowling

Janine Cowling is a founding shareholder in Synthase Biotech and has worked as Corporate Services Manager since January 2016. Janine has experience in the management of research and development including researching products, investment, and IP opportunities, IP management, commercialization, project management, negotiating, and evaluating and preparing research proposals. She is responsible in Synthase Biotech for finance, systems, HR, facilities, and admin.

Janine is a graduate of Victoria University with a BCom in Economics and Decision Making and a background in biochemistry. She has worked extensively with large and small firms, industry good organizations, and the Government. Janine has a strong interest in the Biotech sector and has been previously employed by the NZ Wool Board as their R&D Manager and established and managed NZBIO (the NZ biotech industry organization) for the Waikato region. She is a principal in her consultancy firm shared with her partner Andrew West - Tidal Associates Ltd.
