Lory Tan

Senior Director, Commercial Operations at Synthego

Lory Tan has a diverse work experience in various roles within the life sciences industry. They started their career as an Associate Researcher at Exelixis, Inc, where they specialized in ADME assays and data analysis. They later took on the role of Committee Coordinator, managing projects and organizing company events. At Sigma Aldrich, they served as an Account Manager, handling sales of research products. They then joined MilliporeSigma, first as a Senior Account Manager, responsible for selling life science consumables, and later as a Sales Enablement Business Partner, developing and delivering sales enablement programs. Currently, Lory works as an Associate Director, Commercial Enablement at Synthego Corporation, focusing on training and coaching sales professionals and optimizing sales processes.

Lory Tan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics with an emphasis in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis, from 1997 to 2001. Later, from 2007 to 2010, Lory pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance & Entrepreneurship from the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management.

In addition to Lory's formal education, there are several certifications they have obtained. Lory completed the "Strategic Leadership" program at Pavilion in July 2023, "Building a GTM Leadership Team" program at Pavilion in March 2023, and "Compensation Planning 101" program at Pavilion in February 2023. Furthermore, Lory acquired the "Creating and Implementing a Sales Playbook that Sticks" certification from Pavilion in December 2022 and the "Salesloft Associate Administrator" certification from Salesloft in the same month. Additionally, in September 2022, Lory completed the "Advanced Analytics for Sales Leaders" program at Kellogg Executive Education, and in May 2022, gained the "Social Selling Course" certification from Pavilion. Prior to this, in April 2022, Lory completed the "Maximizing Sales Force Performance" program at Kellogg Executive Education.

Lory also obtained the "Trained Mentor" certification from Mentor Collective in September 2021 and completed the "High Impact Sales Strategy in a Digital World" program at Kellogg Executive Education in May 2021. Lastly, in May 2020, Lory completed the "Proven Tips for Managing Your Time" course on LinkedIn.
