Vishal Augustine

Vishal Augustine has over 13 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with a focus on product development and solution sales. Vishal is currently the VP of Product Development at Synthesis Systems Incorporation, and was previously the Chief Architect, Software at Huawei Technologies.

At Huawei, Vishal led or was engaged in over 75 business and IT transformation projects and opportunities in delivery and presales. Vishal also achieved $300M+ in software solution sales, and was recognized as an effective communicator with experience presenting to clients at the C-level. In addition to leading product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts, Vishal was responsible for defining, positioning, and defending solutions from a technical, business, and delivery perspective. Vishal successfully handled architecture definition, technical direction, pricing/costing/BoQ adjustment, RFx/SoC, business consulting, product & application rationalization, business case/ROI based selling, discovery & health check, agile/DevOps in BSS, etc. for both Huawei and 3rd party best-of-breed products/solutions.

In addition to their work in product development and solution sales, Vishal has also led Huawei’s practices in BSS SI, MVNx & wholesale. Vishal has also been a contributor to GSMA 12FAST.15 - Remote Provisioning for eSIM (2015), GB921 Process Framework (2012), and RA Catalyst (2011).

Vishal Augustine has a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut. Vishal also has certifications from the TM Forum in Application Framework (TAM) Fundamentals, Business Process Framework (eTOM) Fundamentals, Fameworx Foundation Level, and Information Framework (SID) Fundamentals. In addition, they are certified by Oracle in Oracle Application Integration Architecture 11g PreSales Specialist and Oracle Service-Oriented Architecture 11g PreSales Specialist. Finally, they have IBM certifications in IBM Certified Sepcialist - Rational Requirements Management w/Use Cases and IBM Certified Specialist - Rational Unified Process.
