Ana Perroni Laloe is the current President of Industrial Specialities at Synthomer. Prior to this, they were the Specification Development Manager at AkzoNobel from January 2018 to February 2018. Ana was also a Freelance Designer at Homewings from April 2015 to December 2017.
Before their work at Homewings, Ana had a long and successful career at Ciba Specialty Chemicals, where they worked from April 1997 to November 2008. During their time there, they held the position of Global Marketing Manager Inks and Effect Pigments. In this role, they were responsible for implementing a global strategic plan for growth of the newly acquired Effect Pigments range (~CHF16 million) into the Inks and Printing industry. Ana was also responsible for ensuring global long term growth of more commoditized product lines such as photo initiators and general printing pigments, a business worth ~CHF300 million.
Among their responsibilities were product portfolio management (reducing the range in 20% to improve profitability of business), pricing (balancing margin acceptability and plant capacity), sourcing (qualifying and negotiating 3rd party products for resale), business alliances and new/ strategic routes to market, such as exploring and implementing new routes to market/ down the value chain approaches (supplying preparations instead of pure raw materials). Analyse market requirements and provide leadership within the innovation process were skills constantly required in their role.
Having provided support and strategic guidance to Technical Industry Managers and Regional Sales Managers within a global and diverse team, without having a direct reporting line, required a very strong open and effective communication in order to ensure strategy implementation and success. Her extensive exposure and knowledge of other pigments and additives businesses, such as Coatings and Electronic Materials helped their throughout.
Being recognised as a high potential development executive, and nominated as part of the “Rising Stars” programme within the company, Ana has benefited from increased high management level exposure and strategic orientation, taking part on a number of different initiatives of the management committee that were vital to steering and shaping of the company’s future.
Ana Perroni Laloe holds a finance degree from the London Business School and a business administration degree from the Fundação Getulio Vargas. Ana also has a chemical engineering degree from the Centro Universitário do Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia and an interior design certification from the KLC School of Design. In addition, they have completed the Orchestrating Winning Performance program at IMD and the Balancing Multiple Roles as a Leader and Executive Presence on Video Conference Calls programs at LinkedIn.
Ana Perroni Laloe reports to Michael Willome, CEO. They are on a team with Alice Heezen - Chief Human Resources Officer, Jan Chalmovsky - President, Strategy & M&A, and Tim Hughes - President, Corporate Development.
