Andy Axford has a diverse work experience spanning over 28 years in various companies and roles. Andy started their career at Unilever as a Management Trainee. Andy then worked at Quest International UK as a Project Engineer and later as a Production Support Engineer. From there, they moved to Quest International Netherlands, where they held the position of Operations Manager, responsible for a twin site manufacturing operation.
After that, Andy joined ICI as a Transition Manager, overseeing the knowledge transfer and site closure post-acquisition. Andy also worked at Givaudan, where they led global supply chain projects. At Yule Catto & Co Plc, they served as the Group Business Development Manager, leading multiple successful M&A transactions.
Andy then took on the role of Managing Director at James Robinson GmbH before joining Uquifa as the Chief Operating Officer. At Uquifa, they were responsible for the global supply chain, regulatory matters, and global costs.
Currently, Andy holds multiple roles at Synthomer, including Group Vice President Information Technology and VP Business Transformation. Andy has also held positions such as Global Operations VP Functional Solutions, Operations Director EMEA, VP SHE, Operational Excellence & Engineering, and Director of Operational Excellence at Synthomer.

Andy Axford received a 1st MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham from 1989 to 1993. Additionally, they completed a Diploma of Management from Henley Business School from 1994 to 1998.
