Dorsa Fahimi

Dorsa Fahimi is a Sr MEMS Process Engineer at Syntiant Corp. since January 2025, previously holding the position of Sr MEMS Engineer, Process at Knowles Corporation from June 2019 to January 2025, and serving as a MEMS Process Engineering Co-op. Dorsa's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, earned from 2013 to 2019, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran, completed from 2008 to 2013. Experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago involved designing, fabricating, and evaluating a wearable cellular-enabled MEMS particulate matter sensor, as well as finite element analysis and microfabrication. Additionally, Dorsa contributed as a Teaching Assistant for courses in Microdevices, Micromachining Technology, Logic Design, and Electrical Circuits Analysis. A brief tenure as a Visiting Graduate Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley focused on the microfabrication of MEMS sensor components.
