Jay Sharma has held various positions throughout their work experience. Jay started in 2008 as an intern at KHS GmbH, where they developed a control unit and human machine interface for Innoket SE's test stand. Jay then moved on to Imagination Technologies in 2010, where they worked as a Video Hardware Design Engineer, re-architecting a system memory controller module and achieving a 27% area reduction for the block. In 2012, Jay joined Intel Corporation as a Lead Design Engineer, leading a team in developing transmitter, receiver, and compensation modules for 10GBASE-KR and 10G-UPI PHY, and mentoring team members on logic design methodology. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Microchip Technology as a Principal Silicon Design Engineer, designing BLE and Zigbee MACs and a Radio Arbiter for sharing a 2.4GHz radio. Most recently, Jay has been working at Syntiant Corp since 2019, initially as a Member of Technical Staff and currently as the Director of Hardware Engineering, overseeing the design of their Neural Decision Processor and successfully taking three SoCs from architecture to volume production.

Jay Sharma completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Dharmsinh Desai University in the years 2004 to 2008. Jay then pursued a Master's Degree in Analogue & Digital IC Design from Imperial College London from 2008 to 2009.
