Julia Roulet is a seasoned biotech entrepreneur with extensive experience in synthetic biology and biotechnology. Currently leading Syocin Biotech since April 2019, Julia focuses on enhancing global food availability through innovative solutions. Previously served as a Laboratory Assistant Professor at the College of Biochemistry and Pharmacy, and completed a PhD in Biological Sciences at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Rosario, where Julia researched the production of high-value PKS-derived molecules. Julia's academic journey includes fellowships at UC San Diego, through both the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Fulbright programs, focusing on synthetic biology and cyanobacteria engineering. Julia holds a BS in Biotechnology from Universidad Nacional de Rosario and is pursuing further studies in Entrepreneurship in Biotechnology at DPT Foundation and National University of Litoral.
