Emily Pierce

Emily Pierce is currently an AR Specialist at Syracuse Utilities. Emily previously worked as a Replenishment Specialist at HP Hood LLC from April 2018 to September 2018. In this role, they were responsible for managing inventory levels across three manufacturing plants to ensure a customer fill-rate of 95%. Emily also communicated with production, forecasting, and customer service teams to achieve exceptional customer service by fulfilling customer orders on time. Additionally, they prevented stock-outs by evaluating whether to send inter-plant support, allocating product between the three locations and by specific customer if needed and managing code requirements.

Before their role at HP Hood LLC, Emily was a Supply Chain Analyst Intern at Caterpillar Inc. from June 2017 to April 2018. In this role, they developed and implemented multiple division-wide Tableau based data visualization and data analytics tools in support of various supply chain planning projects resulting in easy-to-use platforms needing minimal maintenance as well as the enforcement of data integrity. These include: Packaging Spend and Budget Management, Supply Chain Response Time (SCRT) Optimization, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Tracking. Additionally, they assisted Supply Chain, Business Resources, and Purchasing teams in collecting information and documenting division-wide SOX Compliance process and procedure for VMI suppliers. Furthermore, they collaborated/communicated with VMI suppliers across the division and collected monthly inventory metrics to initiate the development of a new metrics system to monitor VMI execution. Emily Pierce completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management. Emily also holds an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors in Mathematics from Paul V Moore High School. In addition, Emily is certified in MOS: Microsoft Office Excel 2013.
