Rodrigo Neves

Rodrigo Neves began their career in 2016 as a Member of the Electrical Propulsion Area at Técnico Solar Boat. In 2017, they joined Jungle AI as a Machine Learning/Software Engineer and Graduate Student. During their time at Jungle AI, they researched and implemented the company's core approach to predictive modelling with an emphasis on recurrent models and time series mainly using Pytorch. Rodrigo was an active member of 5+ projects within the energy and heavy industry sector and designed, developed and built internal and production-ready software to meet product team and client requirements. In 2021, they joined DareData Engineering as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they planned and developed a proof of concept solution for a big utility company to create an automatic and interactive solution to calculate solar potential through satellite images. Rodrigo implemented a computer vision pipeline using Pytorch and OpenCV to generate all the artefacts and data needed to integrate with the GIS-based systems. In 2022, they joined Syrup Tech as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Rodrigo Neves obtained a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico between 2012 and 2017.
