Laney Raye Bivens has accumulated a diverse range of experiences in agricultural economics and policy through various roles. Bivens served as a Systems Intern at ReadyFlo in 2018 and participated in the AFA Crop Science Institute with Agriculture Future of America in 2019. As Assistant Ranch Manager at Brush Country Genetics in 2017, Bivens gained hands-on experience in ranch management, followed by a leadership role as a Ford Leadership Scholar at Ford Motor Company from 2016 to 2017. Bivens contributed as an Ag Policy Intern with the National Sorghum Producers and later worked as a Congressional Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2020. Bivens currently works as a Sales Consultant at Sysco since October 2021 and previously held the position of Director of Political and Government Relations with the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association from 2020 to 2021. Bivens holds degrees in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
