Lauren Horning

Lauren Horning is an experienced professional in local sourcing and sustainability, currently serving as the Director of Local Sourcing and Sustainability at FreshPoint, Inc., since August 2016. In this role, Lauren has developed local sourcing programs at FreshPoint Raleigh and FreshPoint Charlotte, successfully sourcing from over 100 local farmers and artisans, with an emphasis on supporting small and mid-sized farms. Prior experience includes positions as Local and Organic Specialist at FreshPoint Raleigh, Local Farm Liaison and Director of Sustainability at Foster Caviness Company, and various roles in marketing and sustainability. Education includes a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Washington & Jefferson College and ongoing studies in Latin American Studies at Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
