Luz Echevarria

Luz Echevarria currently serves as the Region Vice President of Human Resources at Sysco, where responsibilities include partnering with the senior leadership team to implement strategic initiatives across various levels. Echevarria previously held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Balfour & Co., collaborating with executive leadership to align strategies with business objectives. Prior experience includes serving as the Director of Human Resources at Univision Communications Inc. and as the Regional Human Resources Manager for Avianca, overseeing HR functions in multiple regions. Echevarria began a career in HR at Baptist Health South Florida as a Senior Consultant and holds both a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration from Florida International University.
