Matthew Hughes

Matthew Hughes is an accomplished culinary and sales professional with extensive experience in the food industry. Currently serving as a Premium Protein Specialist at Sysco since January 2021, Matthew focuses on driving new business in the meat and seafood categories while enhancing customer experiences. Previously, Matthew held various roles at Acosta and Sysco, including Distributor Account Manager and Marketing Associate, where responsibilities included developing new business and minimizing lost sales within assigned territories. Earlier in his career, Matthew worked as a Chef at Sweet Basil and gained culinary expertise through positions at the American Club and Fratellos Waterfront Brewery. Matthew holds an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago and has also attended the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh.
