Michael VanderWoude serves as the Senior Director of Finance at Sysco since March 2021, leading financial operations for multiple divisions, including SMS, SMSI, Central Warehouses, Forward Warehouse, and Regional Distribution Centers. In this role, Michael collaborates with senior management to enhance accounting practices, foster operational improvements, drive growth, report financial results, and manage risk. Prior to joining Sysco, Michael accumulated extensive experience as an Assurance Senior Manager at EY from January 2007 to January 2021, focusing on the audit of financial statements in accordance with U.S. standards. Michael holds both a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business.
