Senior Director Food Safety And Quality Assurance

Shane Sampels possesses extensive experience in food safety and quality assurance, having held various leadership roles since joining Sysco in March 1995. Currently serving as Senior Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Shane plays a critical role in the corporate development of food safety programs and operational support, alongside implementing traceability systems. Previously, Shane advanced from Manager to Director of Quality Assurance, managing a $1 million budget and overseeing a department responsible for ensuring quality in $5 billion of sales across multiple food categories. Prior to Sysco, Shane served as Executive Vice President of Operations at Blencor, LLC, where responsibilities included the establishment of a new frozen food company and product development. Shane's career began at Northwest Packing Co, where experience included quality assurance and plant management in fruit canning and juice concentrating. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from Oregon State University, obtained in 1985.
