Gerald Combs is an established technology professional with extensive experience in open source projects and network analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Open Source Projects at Sysdig since November 2021, Gerald is also the founder and lead developer of Wireshark, the leading network protocol analyzer, a position held since July 1998. Previous roles include Director of Open Source Projects at Riverbed Technology from October 2010 to November 2021, and at CACE Technologies from May 2006 to October 2010. Gerald's earlier career included senior engineering and administration positions at Network Integration Services, Unicom Communications, and programming at UMKC, where a BS in Computer Science was earned from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
