John Bidgood

John Bidgood began their career in 1993 as an IT Specialist at Cable & Wireless Communications. John then joined IBM in 1995 as a Systems Network Engineer and later held various roles in the company, including Senior Consultant Architect and Network Services Leader for Middle East and Africa. Their most recent position was Chief Technology Officer at Systal Technology Solutions, which they assumed in 2018.

John Bidgood obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Design, Technology, and Business from the University of Plymouth from 1991 to 1995. Before attending university, they studied Geography, Business Studies, and Economics at Penwith Sixth Form College in Penzance, Cornwall from 1988 to 1991. John completed their secondary education at Cape Cornwall School in St. Just, Cornwall from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, John has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including being a Certified IT Professional and Member of the British Computing Society (obtained in January 2005), having an Architect Profession Certification - Level 2 Expert from IBM (obtained in December 2004), being a Cisco Certified Design Professional (obtained in March 2001), a Cisco Certified Design Associate (obtained in January 2001), a Cisco Certified Network Professional (obtained in November 2000), and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (obtained in May 2000).
