James Fay

James Fay has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. James worked as a QA Manager at Systel, Inc. where they were responsible for negotiating and implementing quality procedures and standards. James managed a team of 7 individuals in various departments. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Systel, Inc., where they developed new products and completed 12 designs in a short period of time. James also conducted design reviews and actively participated in other projects.

Before joining Systel, Inc., James worked at Schlumberger for several years. James held various roles, including Mechanical Design Engineer for Logging While Drilling (LWD) products. In this role, they developed the mechanical architecture for LWD products and completed designs for nuclear physics mockups. James also served as the Sustaining Mechanical Team Lead for Wireline Formation Evaluation Products, leading a team in Texas and India and overseeing the technical direction of 100+ products. James spearheaded several rapid response projects and conducted feasibility studies for new technologies.

During their time at Schlumberger, James also worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer for Pulsed Neutron Spectroscopy Wireline Products, where they designed and tested mechanical packaging for electronics and sensors. James also designed precision components for high electric fields, radiation, and shock. Additionally, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer for Pulsed Neutron Generator (PNG) and Detector Development, designing packaging and conducting testing for wireline products.

Overall, James Fay has extensive experience in mechanical engineering, product development, quality assurance, and team leadership in the engineering industry.

James Fay obtained a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University in 2006. Prior to attending Rutgers, James had also attended the University of Maryland in 2001. James recently acquired a certification in Inventor: Sheet Metal Design from LinkedIn in October 2020.
