Lisa Strausfeld has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lisa is currently the VP Design at System Inc., a position they have held since March 2020. Prior to this, Lisa was the Founder & Principal of Informationart, a company they started in April 2011. Lisa also worked as a Senior Research Fellow at The New School from September 2017 to September 2019.
Lisa's previous experience includes being a Senior Scientist at Gallup from 2006 to 2016. Lisa served as the Global Head of Data Visualization at Bloomberg LP from January 2012 to December 2014, where they were responsible for creating and leading a team of 10 designers and developers in building data visualization offerings for Bloomberg's consumer online platforms. Before joining Bloomberg, Lisa founded Major League Politics, a startup media company focused on using public data for civic engagement. Lisa was the Founder & CEO of the company from April 2011 to January 2012.
Earlier in their career, Lisa worked as a Partner at Pentagram from January 2002 to March 2011, where they led a team in creating various digital information projects for civic, cultural, and corporate clients. Lisa also held the position of Vice President of Quokka Labs at Quokka Sports from June 1999 to September 2000, leading the development of interfaces for immersive sports experiences.
Lisa's entrepreneurial journey started with Perspecta, where they were the Founder of the company. Perspecta focused on designing and developing front-end software for dynamically generated 3D interactive environments. Lisa worked at Perspecta from 1996 to 2000 and received seed funding from Nicholas Negroponte and Steven Holtzman.
Lisa Strausfeld has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Computer Science from Brown University. Lisa also holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Additionally, Lisa has a Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design.
