Robert Read

Robert Read is an experienced professional in the defence and technology sectors, currently serving as the Director of Defence Services at Systematic since May 2024. Prior experience with the New Zealand Defence Force from February 2008 to May 2024 includes roles such as Division Chief for Science & Technology - Information Warfare, Director of C4ISR Systems, and Research/Section Lead for Information and Intelligence. A graduate of the University of South Wales with a B.Eng with Honours in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Robert Read has also held significant positions at General Dynamics UK Ltd, Industrial Electronic Automation, ADC Metrica, and SONY Manufacturing UK Ltd, demonstrating a strong track record in leadership, technical management, and project delivery across various defence technology and communications systems.
