Sanad Shamsan, P.E., S.E. has a diverse and extensive work experience in bridge engineering and design. Sanad is currently the Technical Director and Head of Complex Bridges at SYSTRA International Bridge Technologies. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Bridge Engineer at International Bridge Technologies, Inc., where they were responsible for the detailed design of various components of cable stayed and segmental bridges. Sanad has also worked as a Consultant Extradosed Bridge Engineer for the St. Croix River Crossing Project, providing CEI services for the construction of the extradosed bridge. In addition, they served as the Design Manager for the Hodariyat Bridge Project, overseeing the design of the first Cable Stayed Bridge in the United Arab Emirates. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Research/Teaching Assistant at Texas Tech University and as a Civil Engineer Inspector at PSA Corporation Limited. Throughout their career, Sanad has been involved in various aspects of bridge engineering, including detailed design, finite element analysis, construction oversight, and coordination of design and erection activities.

Sanad Shamsan, P.E., S.E. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, which was obtained from an undisclosed institution between the years 1993 and 1997. Sanad then pursued further education at Texas Tech University, where they obtained a Master of Education degree in Higher Education and College Teaching between 2000 and 2001. Subsequently, they completed a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering at the same university between 2001 and 2002.

Alongside their education, Sanad Shamsan has also obtained several professional certifications. Sanad is a certified Professional Civil Engineer in both Washington and California, USA. Additionally, they hold the designation of Professional Structural Engineer in Washington, USA. Specific dates of when these certifications were obtained are not provided.
