Bruno Pompei is a Structural and Bridge Engineer with extensive experience in designing and retrofitting various types of bridges and structures. Since June 2022, Bruno has been working at SYSTRA Italy, focusing on the structural design of underground water structures, prestressed bridges, and the retrofitting of historic masonry arch railway bridges, among other projects. Prior experience includes roles as a Junior Structural Engineer at GEODATA S.p.A. and as a Structural Engineer at ENARCH S.r.l., where Bruno contributed to seismic retrofits, structural assessments, and designed solutions for steel and concrete bridges. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering from Politecnico di Torino, a Master of Engineering from Delft University of Technology, and a recent Masterclass at Politecnico di Milano on seismic response of structures.
