Ishan Rao

Ishan Rao, Ph.D., serves as Vice President, Commercial and Chief of Staff at Syzygy Plasmonics, focusing on decarbonizing the chemical industry. Additionally, Ishan is a Leadership Council Member at AWE Funds, evaluating technologies for investment potential. As Affiliate Faculty at the Colorado School of Mines since 2019, Ishan also mentors as an angel investor for S4S Technologies, contributing to solutions for socio-economic challenges while prioritizing sustainability. Previous experience includes roles as a Venture Fellow at New Climate Ventures and Manager at KPMG US, alongside significant tenure at Shell Exploration & Production Company as a Flow Assurance Engineer. Ishan holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai.
