Nico Wauters has a comprehensive work experience in various industries. Nico is currently the Co-founder & CEO of T-mining since December 2016. Nico started their career as an Independent Consultant at ID&C Consultancy in 2004, offering advice to optical startup, Wavium.
Nico also worked at Tellium from 2000 to 2003, where they held the role of Sales Engineering Director for various European accounts. Nico was responsible for pre-sales, customer support, and product management.
Nico's earlier experience includes a senior management role in planning and design at GTS/Ebone from 1997 to 2000.
Nico began their career as a Research Engineer and University Assistant at imec in 1992. Nico worked on projects related to optical communication networks with various companies and research institutes. Nico also worked on their Ph.D. during this time.
Nico Wauters completed their education history with a PhD from Ghent University in Applied Sciences, which spanned from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they pursued a postgraduate degree in Telematics and Telecommunications from the University of Antwerp between 1993 and 1995. Nico obtained a Master's degree in Applied Science Electronics from Ghent University from 1985 to 1991. Nico'searliest known educational experience was at Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe College in Antwerpen, where they attended from 1973 to 1985, but their degree name and field of study during this time are unknown.
